The Art and Science of Energy Healing, with applications for clinicians and laypeople

Energy healing is rapidly becoming an established holistic healing modality. Please join us as we learn more about what energy medicine is and how it may help our patients, our clients and ourselves ! Dorothy Martin-Neville, MA, LMFT, LPC, CSH, is the director and founder of The Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences, LLC. After beginning her private practice, Dorothy chose to study hands-on-healing with Barbara Brennan at the BARBARA BRENNAN SCHOOL OF HEALING for four years. She subsequently went on to study, or became certified in, a number of different modalities of alternative healthcare including Reiki, Hypnotherapy, Acupressure, Reflexology, Iridology, Jin Shin Do, Rebirthing and Consegrity.

Dorothy, a state-licensed psychotherapist, has been in private practice since 1981. A traditionally trained therapist, Dorothy later incorporated her additional trainings into her work, developing her own eclectic, heart-centered approach to treatment. She believes that it is a therapist/healer's responsibility to model a healthy relationship while supporting her clients in claiming their own clarity, focus and passion. Dorothy believes that within each of us, we hold the answers to all the questions we haven't even asked yet. By learning to slow down and listen, we can discover both the tools for living a life without limits and as well as develop the ability to understand the hows and whys of all the obstacles that come into their path. Her belief that we are each co-creators, with Spirit, of our lives and all that they entail, propels her to support self-awareness and conscious living in her students, her patients and in her own life as well.
