Friday, July 17th, 6 - 7 pm -- Therapeutic Uses of Gardens with Laurie Charpentier, CEC, of Stonington Natural Health Center
-
Exploring The Therapeutic Benefits of Garden Therapy
If I asked you to describe yourself as a flower, what type of flower would you be? Why? Your answer says a lot about how you view yourself – IF you can even answer the question! Some women get hung up trying to answer because they are so out of touch with themselves. What if I asked you to describe your present life condition (physical, emotional and spiritual) in terms of plant conditions, what would you say? Are you root bound? Are you a sun lover stuck in the shade? Are you in need of some serious weeding? There are as many plant analogies and metaphors as there are human conditions. Identifying what condition you are in is the first step on the road back to your true Self. It’s also just one of the methods employed by Garden Therapy. To find out more about this versatile and therapeutic healing modality, you are cordially invited to attend a FREE talk introducing Gardening Therapy in the JBG Theater at Stonington Natural Health Center on July 17th from 6pm - 7pm.
