Acupuncture is
a form of healing which is several thousand years old. The late
President John F. Kennedy and Sir Winston Churchill have attested
to its healing
claim. Acupuncture is a drugless and non-surgical approach to health
care. The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and
Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) has released the results of a national
survey concerning
the use of acupuncture stating that nearly one out of every 10
adults in the U.S. has turned to acupuncture. This proves that
acupuncture
is clearly playing a role in the American health care system. An
NIH panel found acupuncture effective and the occurence of adverse
effects
extremely low.
